Breast Lift After

Also known as a mastopexy, this procedure lifts and reshapes the breasts which may have become loose and saggy due to the effects of nursing, aging, and gravity.

This procedure involves creating an incision around the areola along with others down the breast. The number and pattern of incisions depend on the elasticity of the skin and the extent of the procedure. These incisions allow the surgeon to remove excess skin, reposition the nipple and reshape the breast. If the breasts are severely droopy, the nipple may be moved to a higher position to create firmer, higher breasts. Sutures are then positioned near the areola, extending vertically downward and across the lower crease of the breast.

Recovery time: Non-strenuous activity can be resumed after 5-7 days and strenuous activity after 4 to 6 weeks.
