Education
- Dr. Joseph Korkis graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and then went into a rigorous eight year surgical training initially, in General Surgery and then in Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology in both Ireland and Canada respectively.
- During his residency training program at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Korkis
- received training in RHINOPLASTY (nose-reshaping) for both cosmetic and
- reconstructive purposes that he developed a special interest in, which has
- become his exclusive area of expertise. Facial Plastic Surgery is a subspecialty
- of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and concentrates completely on
- cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.
- Dr.Korkis regularly attends national, international conferences and workshops
- that constantly upgrade his knowledge and skills in the field of Nasal and Facial
- Plastic Surgery. He has lectured internationally, published articles and has been
- in practice in Burlington since 1987. His commitment to his patients is
- outstanding.
