Education

  • In 1996, Dr Poon received training on tumescent liposuction from the grandfather of this technique, Dr. Jeffrey Klein.
  • Dr Poon was trained on the technique of injection Lipolysis by Dr. Franz Hasengschwandtner, the Austrian doctor who pioneered the technique of Lipolysis (or Lipodissolve) for body contouring in 2002.
  • He was elected as a fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery in 1996 and was admitted as a fellow of the European Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in 1998.
  • Dr. Poon received training in hair restoration in 1997 and became a member of the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
  • He was admitted as a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in 1999.
  • He practiced cosmetic surgery for over 10 years and has performed thousands of cosmetic and laser procedures.

Affiliations

  • Dr. Poon is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the International Society of Lipolysis Therapy, the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine, the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian College of Family Physicians.
  • Dr. Poon joined the American Society of Liposuction Surgery in 1997
