Education
- Dr. Clifford L. Librach - MD, FRCS(C), FACOG(REI): Dr. Clifford Librach is a distinguished figure in the field of reproductive medicine, serving as the founder and Director of the CReATe Fertility Centre and CReATe Cord Blood Bank in Toronto, Ontario. As a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto, with cross-appointments in the Department of Physiology and Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. Librach has played a pivotal role in advancing reproductive biology clinical and research programs at Women’s College Hospital since 1991. His exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication have significantly influenced and enhanced fertility practices in Canada. Currently, Dr. Librach also serves as the chair of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), further demonstrating his commitment to advancing healthcare initiatives.
- Dr. Karen B. Glass - MD, FRCS(C), FACOG: Dr. Glass, a native of Toronto, embarked on her scientific journey early on by enrolling in the Gr. 12 Science School program at the Ontario Science Centre. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario, followed by earning her medical degree from the University of Ottawa. Dr. Glass completed her postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Driven by her passion for laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, Dr. Glass sought further training at UCLA in Los Angeles. There, she undertook a two-year fellowship with a dual appointment in the divisions of reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) and urogynecology. During her REI fellowship, she had the privilege of working alongside Dr. David Meldrum's esteemed team at Reproductive Partners Medical Group.
- Dr. Ari Y. Baratz - B.Sc., MD, FRCSC (REI): Dr. Baratz pursued his undergraduate studies at McGill University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology (BSc). He then attended the University of Western Ontario for his Medical Degree (MD), where he received recognition for his outstanding performance in obstetrics & gynecology. Following his medical studies, Dr. Baratz completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Toronto, earning certification from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). Subsequently, he pursued specialized training in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) at the University of Toronto, obtaining fellowship designation from the Royal College.
- Dr. Prati A. Sharma - MD, FACOG (OB/GYN and REI): Dr. Sharma's extensive medical journey began with her enrollment in the Seven-Year Accelerated BS/MD Medical Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). After completing this program, she embarked on her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cornell University Medical Center, where she earned certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) in 2007.Driven by her passion for reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Sharma pursued further specialization in this field at The Center for Women’s Reproductive Care at Columbia University Medical Center. There, she completed a three-year Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), becoming American Board Certified in REI in 2011. Throughout her training, Dr. Sharma garnered recognition for her teaching abilities, receiving commendations and awards such as the Chief Resident Teaching Award and AAGL Laparoscopy Award for Excellence in Surgery from Cornell University. This dedication to both research and patient-centered clinical practice underscores her commitment to providing the highest level of care to her patients.
