Dr. Husain performs Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery at the Moncton Hospital, Georges L. Dumont Hospital and Sackville Hospital, serving the patients in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI.
Education
- Dr. Husain was born in the Middle East, where he received his Medical School education at the Arabian Gulf University. He then went through a residency training program there in General Surgery for 5 years.
- In 1996, he was accepted in the McGill University Surgery Program for further training in Plastic Surgery. During this period, he received training for a wide range of Plastic & Reconstructive procedures. He also received an award for 'Best Reconstructive Research Paper' at the Senior Residents conference in Seattle in 2001 for a study on 'Reconstructive Needs of Breast Cancer Patients with Partial Mastectomy Defects'.
- Graduated from McGill University in 2002 after successfully passing his Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada examination, Dr. Husain then moved to Moncton, New Brunswick, where he quickly established a busy and successful practice.
- In 2006, Dr. Husain took time off his practice and went for further specialization at the University of British Columbia in the field of Reconstructive Breast Surgery, where he received his Post-Graduate Fellowship certificate.
