Cambie Surgery Centre (CSC) is a multi-specialty surgical centre specializing in arthroscopic surgery. The CSC is the most modern and only free-standing private hospital of its type in Canada. The CSC has provided surgical care to over 55,000 patients since the opening in May 1996. The Centre is designed and equipped to perform same-day procedures as well as procedures that may require an overnight stay.

About Our Practice

With a total of 16,500 square feet of clinical space on three levels, it is one of the largest and most technologically advanced private surgical facilities in Canada. It consists of 6 operating rooms, 7 recovery beds and 6 private overnight stay rooms. All physicians are board certified and are recognized leaders in their specialty. All staff are highly educated and skilled. Many procedures are performed using less invasive techniques allowing for a quicker recovery.

Our centre is licensed by the Non-Hospital Medical and Surgical Facilities Program of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia as well as accredited by Accreditation Canada. Achieving this accreditation status means CSC has exceeded standards for quality care and patient safety. The standards of design, construction, and equipment are so high that the City of Vancouver has, in the event of a major regional catastrophe, designated the CSC as a post-disaster facility.
