Intacs™/Corneal Implants

Developed by KeraVision, Inc., these are two plastic ring segments that are inserted into the outer layers of the cornea. They exert pressure on the cornea tissue to change its shape and thereby improve vision. This procedures is used to treat mild myopia and, unlike laser surgery, the Intacs™ are removable.

The implants are also maintenance free.
